CEO of NAI Ukraine / Urban Experts Vitalii Boiko spoke about the retail real estate market at the main event of the year in the real estate industry – Building and Construction Forum. The forum is dedicated to the discussion of trends, state and legislative initiatives of Ukraine.
The speakers at the event were the most influential consultants Cushman & Wakefield, CBRE, NAI Ukraine.
As part of the panel discussion, experts discussed the investment market and logistics, the state of the office and retail real estate market. Vitalii Boiko presented to the forum participants a meaningful analysis of the Ukrainian trading market for the third quarter of 2020.
For his part, Vitalii Boiko noted the rapid recovery of retail: by the end of the year, the share of vacant space will not exceed 10%, and therefore there are no prerequisites for a fall in the rental price. Moreover, in terms of retail sales growth, Ukraine is ahead of Europe, the USA and even China.

As part of his speech, Vitalii Boiko gave an example of a successful shopping and entertainment center in Ukraine – Lavina Mall, number 1 in terms of attendance (1.2 million per month), and the turnover reached + 23% along with last year’s indicators.
Vitalii Boiko also noted that the turnover of that point (Lavina Mall, Auchan, Epicenter) totals 10% of the turnover of Kiev
